The Department of Political Science at the University of Barcelona invites PhD and postdoctoral researchers outside of Barcelona to present their work in progress as part of the new Barcelona Political Science Colloquium for Early Career Researchers (BPSC).

About the series
The BPSC offers early career researchers the opportunity to present their work at our department and receive in-depth feedback from a senior faculty member serving as discussant. Each session consists of a 30-minute presentation, followed by comments from the discussant and an open discussion with members of the department. Sessions are held in person in Barcelona.
Who can apply
PhD and postdoctoral researchers based at institutions outside Barcelona whose research falls within the following areas:
- Comparative politics
- Political behavior
- Political economy
- Political theory
- Judicial politics
- Political communication
- Political methodology
- Public policy and administration
How to apply
Submit your application through our Google Form at forms.gle/apuVZsQ5827MuytD7 with the following:
- Paper title and abstract
- CV
- Your preferred month(s) and days of the week for presenting
- Optional: the names of one to three faculty members in our department whose feedback you would particularly value
Selection is competitive and based on the quality of the work and its fit with faculty expertise. Session dates will be arranged according to the availability of both the presenter and the discussant.
What we offer
Depending on available resources, we may be able to cover accommodation for selected presenters, as well as travel expenses for those traveling from within Europe.
